I first started djing around about 12 years ago when i was 17. It was by chance i knew a dj in a bar and one week he asked me if i could do his set for him as he couldnt make it and gave me a brief lesson on what to do and from there i was hooked. I started getting sets playing hip hop and garage in Doncaster and sheffield and then discovered speed garage in 2001 and then started playing that. During that time myself and 2 others started a label called Gridlockd Records which became one of the biggest labels in the scene in a very short time as we were the only label making original tracks. Fast forward 12 years and in that time i played the first bassline set on bbc 1xtra, put together a compilation for ministry of sound (Maximum bass 2007) And had tracks signed to mos and all around the world (Universal). I decided in 2008 that i wasnt gonna pidgeonhole myself to one genre and went self employed as a dj and tutor. Around that time i got my own show on local legal radio station sine fm and my weekend vibes show did so well they moved me from 2-3 sat afternoon to 6-8 saturday night the show before dj legend graeme park. Nowadays i do a show called the history of Dance music on sine fm 102.6fm in Doncaster or www.sinefm.com worldwide every tuesday evening 8pm-10pm.

MIX SENSEI WHITE LABEL “SONG OF THE WEEK” MONTH Originally white labels came about when competing DJs would tear the labels off their records so that others would not be able to find out their most special, rare, or "secret weapon" track Many white labels contain unsolicited remixes and/or tracks that are not yet licensed or released (also called "bootlegs"). White labels can be referred to as "promos" (short for "promotional copies") that many top-name DJs receive and play weeks or months prior to the day of general release to the public. As artists using samples pay very high fees for the privilege of such, they must be able to gauge the market potential of their tracks prior to approval. Soul music was all imports, then people in Britain started doing it for themselves, and their tracks started to get better than the tunes in America."

Born and raised in Corpus Chrisiti, Tx. during ;60's thru mid 80's. ; Started playing with the wheels of steel when I was 17yrs old. ; Went to a night club and heard Le Freak (Chic) with an echo, went to DJ booth and asked where he had ;purchased ;the different version. ; He stated he did the echo with two records. Didn't believe, bet him $5.00 he put the record back on and echoed. Lost $5.00 and got the Mixing bug ever sinice. Bought 2 direct drive turntables and stated to learn mixing ever since. I lost $5.00 but got a friend for the last 40yrs and probably for life. I am still in contact with the Dj (Panotaker) who taught me beat mixing. Started doing high school gigs and moved up to clubs. ; Worked in the Corpus area from 1982-1986.
